How Long do Dental Implants Last?

When people lose their teeth for any reason, the most preferable method of treatment is a dental implant. There are different reasons for losing teeth as, according to aging the structure of the jaw might change and may lead to teeth loss, it might be because of tooth decay or as a result of an injury. The period for a healthy and complete treatment differs and takes from 2 months up to 9 months. This period varies for each patient.

The patient should protect the mouth area from any sort of force or pressure during the treatment period, it’s important to keep away from consuming hard foods, and avoid extremely cold or hot foods, this care will allow the implant to fuse to the jawbone more quickly.
