If you want a little change there are over-the-counter options for teeth whitening in many stores but if you want your teeth to be as white as pearl you can ask your dentist for a professional teeth whitening. Although there is a huge difference between the pricing of the products for teeth whitening that you can purchase from the market and the professional teeth whitening, the result is also a huge difference, It is safer and it will last longer.

Teeth whitening is more effective on natural teeth, but less on dentures or crown teeth. It is safe although it might cause some temporary sensitivity after. The cost varies according to the type of whitening method that you choose. Many dentists offer polyclinic treatments for teeth whitening. There are several different types of treatments which all have shown good and successful results.

Teeth whitening treatment with Deep bleaching 

Basically, this technique known as Deep whitening is generally a method that is performed by every dentist. Especially if you need intensive treatment for removing the stains on your teeth, you can try the deep bleaching method. In this process, your dentist will make your teeth ready by polishing your teeth with an abrasive substance such as pumice powder. This makes the surface of your teeth more receptive to the treatment. After this, your dentist will apply a whitening solution using special placing pieces on your teeth.

These pieces and the gel will stay in your mouth for 20 minutes. After that, your dentist will perform the second application for another 20 minutes. Then, you need to continue the treatment for 14 days with the instruction you will be given to applying at home. After the cycle of home treatment, you need to visit the dentist for another session. You will need to continue the home treatment every few weeks to maintain the result. Your dentist will let you know how often the treatment is needed for you to do.

Dental Veneers

If you didn’t get the result that you needed after the whitening treatment, you may need to consider more comprehensive treatment such as a dental veneer. Your dentist will place a permanent crust on top of the surface of your teeth. If your dentist is using a special system, to make these parts you have to visit the clinic to get a mold of your teeth. Sometimes With different methods, dentists use ready-made parts. This cover will give your smile a whole different look.

Teeth whitening with prescription at home

Some dentists offer teeth whitening kits for home. Using these kits and these types of treatments might take longer than the treatments applied in dental clinics; however, some patients prefer them more. Your dentist will tell you how long you need to use the kit, mostly from one to two weeks for better results.
